Corporate responsibility
We are committed to operating responsibly from the point of view of the environment, people and the economy alike. We are constantly developing our operating methods to be more sustainable, using, for example, 100% renewable and low-emission energy.
In addition, we have invested in the recycling of materials. We use recycled materials as much as possible and take care of the correct recycling of the waste generated in production.
Environmental responsibility
Our environmental responsibility starts from the design process, during which we strive to ensure that the manufacturing of the product is environmentally sustainable. We want to design products that last a long time, so that the customer does not have to replace the product often.
Recycling is a key part of our operations – metal waste, clear plastics and other production side streams are sorted and recycled efficiently. The utilisation rate of metals is about 90%, and the spring wires and steel wires we use are largely made of recycled metal.
Energy efficiency is important to us. We use 100% renewable and carbon-dioxide-free electricity, which has been verified with the utility company’s certificate of origin.
We monitor energy consumption over the long term and are constantly looking for new ways to improve our energy efficiency.
We also strive to reduce the use of plastic in packaging. We have switched to packaging materials made from recycled paper and developed our packaging to be as ecological and recyclable as possible.
Transparent supply chain
Responsibility is also reflected in our supply chain. All our raw materials come from European suppliers, which guarantees quality, security of supply and the ability to control the production chain. For example, all our packaging is sourced from Finland, which reduces emissions caused by transport.
Social responsibility
It is important for us to take care of our employees and provide a safe and comfortable working environment where each employee can develop and influence our work processes. We listen to the feedback of our personnel and invest in occupational health care and a good working atmosphere.
Locally, we support the vitality of the region by supporting sports activities. In addition, we offer young people opportunities for internships and summer jobs. Our goal is to ensure the continuity of skilled workforce and offer young people the opportunity to get acquainted with jobs in the industrial sector.

Jurvan Jousi holds an ISO 14001 environmental certificate and an ISO 9001 quality certificate, which ensure that our operations meet the international quality and environmental requirements.
These two key pillars of our integrated management system have been certified since 2008. Commitment to quality and the environment are deeply ingrained in our business. Our operating policy is available at request.
